The Take is

Based in the Westbrook, Connecticut Shoreline area

Mike, George, and Jeff began playing in Rock bands together back in High School in the late 70's.  We loved to play cover tunes that would make you want to dance or sing along.  Each of us brought different influences to the band from classic rock (Beatles & MoTown), Punk, New Wave, Top 40, etc.  Eventually we all went our separate ways to start families and careers.
Flash forward to 2015 when we had the idea to "get the band back together"!  After a couple of practices we happen to mention needing a drummer in front of Matt who said "I'm a drummer!"  Matt had previously played drums in plenty of cover and original rock and punk bands.  When asked if Matt wanted to play some old and new rock cover tunes with a bunch of old guys he jumped at the chance!  So we maintain our roots, but are always trying to add some newer stuff and even some country to the repertoire.  We aren't really the wedding band type, but just a have a great time dance and sing along band.

We really enjoy playing for all our old and new friends, and look foreword to seeing you at a show.
